Paul Wadey M.Sc M.Res MBACP (Accred.) GMBPsS

My fee range for therapy or supervision is usually £56-98, but I can sometimes offer reduced fee therapy. My office in Nayland is wheelchair accessible. There is ample parking always available.

My work has evolved over many years into an integration of relational psychodynamic, systemic and existential-humanistic approaches to therapy. I regard myself as deeply concerned with compassionate rapport and joining with people in a constructive dialogue. My sense is that a client’s mood and ability and thirst for change come together to set the metronome for the therapy, but as those factors change, I reposition myself appropriately. It is often asked: How long is a therapy? My sense is that therapy should be thought of in months or years not weeks, but not too many. It is common to see clients once or twice a week. I like to work face to face but I am flexible; for example, some clients regularly use Skype or FaceTime.

Experience

Over twenty-one years of post-qualified counselling & psychotherapy experience gained within many community, primary care and acute in-patient settings with young people, young adults, vulnerable adults, professionals, business leaders, creatives, clinicians, mature and elderly from a broad cross-section of British cultures. It has been my privilege to have gained so much from a significant number of people from all walks of life.
